Your Claude Code cost, priced at the rates that were live then

API rates move. Valuing a token you spent six months ago at today's rate gives you the wrong number. Goei builds its 12-month re-priced history on the open AI Price Index, so every past month reads at the rate that was in effect then, not today.

Why point-in-time pricing matters

The rate on the day

Each month of usage is valued at the input, output, and cache rates that the provider published on the days it ran. A cut last spring does not silently rewrite last winter.

Dated and first-party

Every rate is transcribed from the provider's own pricing page, carries the date it was confirmed, and links its source. No scraped guesses.

Reproducible

Goei pins a dated release of the dataset (v2026.07.09-43f905c), so the dollar number on a historical month is stable and auditable, not a moving target.

Today's Claude Code model rates

The models Claude Code runs on, at current list API rates, USD per 1M tokens. Goei values your local usage at these rates for the current month and at the historical rates for older months.

What changed

A sample of real, dated rate changes from the index, biggest move first. Each one is exactly why an old month has to be valued at its own rate. A down move is a price cut, so a month before it costs more than the same usage after.
