The Antigravity weekly quota lockout, explained
Paid Antigravity plans stack two limits. Quota refreshes every five hours, but only until a weekly ceiling is reached; after that, refreshes stop mattering and Antigravity is unavailable until the weekly reset. The mechanic is first-party (Google's plans page, verified 2026-07-22); every number below it is community-measured, because Google publishes none.
The one-third structure
Community measurements on Pro put the sprint at about 250 units per five hours and the weekly ceiling near 2,800 units (forum measurement, 2026-03-14). A week holds 33.6 five-hour sprints, so full sprints would allow 8,400 units. The ceiling permits 2,800 of them: exactly 33% of sprint capacity. Sustained use above one third of your burst rate always ends in a lockout, whatever the absolute numbers are.
When the ceiling hits, by pace
At a 40% heavy-model share (8x quota burn, community-measured), on Pro:
| Prompts/day | Units/day | Ceiling hits | Locked out |
|---|---|---|---|
| 100 | 380 | never | fits inside the ceiling |
| 150 | 570 | day 4.9 | 2.1 days/week (30%) |
| 250 | 950 | day 2.9 | 4.1 days/week (58%) |
Community-derived estimates, not quotes. Set your own pace in the lockout planner. Reported real lockouts run 168 to 180+ hours (forum reports).
What actually moves the lockout day
- The model mix. Heavy models are reported to burn about 8x the quota of mid-tier ones, and hundreds of times a lightweight model's burn, so shifting routine work down a tier stretches the same ceiling furthest.
- The plan multiplier. Ultra $100 raises the ceiling 5X and Ultra $200 raises it 20X per Google's stated multipliers; the per-quota price only improves on the $200 tier (see Pro vs Ultra).
- Credits bridge lockouts but only as overage: they are consumed above plan quota at enterprise consumption pricing with no published exchange rate, so the bridge cost is only estimable from community per-prompt rates (see one credit in dollars).
FAQ
- Why am I locked out of Antigravity even though my quota refreshed?
- The five-hour refresh only runs until the weekly ceiling is reached. Once the ceiling hits, refreshes stop mattering until the weekly reset. The mechanic is on Google's plans page; the numeric limits are not published.
- How long does the Antigravity weekly lockout last?
- Google does not publish a duration. Community reports describe lockouts of 168 to 180+ hours, which is consistent with waiting out the remainder of a quota week.
- How do I check how close I am to the ceiling?
- The CLI statusline shows a remaining count, the AI Credits Command opens a usage panel, and one.google.com/ai/activity shows usage on the web, per Google's CLI docs. None of them shows the ceiling itself, only what remains.
